My hot mess turned into my message...
Lifelong believer, I was fast after God in the late 1990's, early 2000's. I attended Bible Study Fellowship, taught Spiritual Gifts, small group leader (women's and HS) I was hungry to learn. I brought my faith into my private practice. I began to speak for churches in the early 2000's.
Kids came along, and life got complicated. I felt driven to maintain my new Christian image. Full time practice, marriage, church, committees, more degrees... My lack of self esteem and constant need for validation, was over the top. On the outside, I led what looked like a faith-filled life. Inside, I felt like a fraud. Then the divorce in 2012. That event left me worse off. I was an exhausted mama, with friend drama and church trauma. My practice was started to unravel.
So, as any Israelite would have done in the Old Testament, I decided God clearly wasn't with me. Over the next seven years I decided to learn things the hard way. MY WAY!I messed up in relationships, finances, and parenting. I continued to chase the allusive self-worth by attempting to fill the God-sized hole with accomplishment and performance. Then, in August 2019, the Global Leadership Summit cracked open my stubborn prideful heart. I promised Him I would work for Him.
In May of 2020, after much prayer and work, I had a HUGE breakthrough, and my inside and outside were all the same person. I understood my worth through the Cross and the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit.
That brings me to now. I'm doing what God asked me to do in 2000, bring health to His people, for Him, from a unique perspective. It's my great joy to help women honor and serve God by getting and staying healthy on all fronts. I believe that our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health are the cornerstones to living the BIGGEST life God has planned for us. I also believe that we are to get and stay healthy FOR God, not out of guilt and shame but love and gratitude for what Jesus did on the cross. I believe our world will change when we courageously step into THAT GIANT, God-sized life. I currently host the Spark Faith Podcast on YouTube, Apple, and Spotify. I'm almost done writing Cultivating a Mind, Soul and Body for God. I offer Keynote and workshops for women online and in person while helping my 22-year-old daughter reach her dream of being a tattoo and paint artist and 20-year-old son become the MLB payer he has wanted to be since he was three. I also offer One-on-One and Group Coaching Programs.
