Jennifer Dyer


Jen Dyer is a Certified Life, Nutrition, and Transformation Coach, a Certified Hypnotherapist, and Founder of Bright By Your Side, a personal transformation coaching company. Jen earned her BA in Psychology at UCLA, and in her early days, counseled teens in foster care. The strength and resilience exhibited by the kids in foster care continue to inspire her to this day.

With anxiety and depression skyrocketing across all age groups, Jen has taken a deep interest in building resilience in the next generation. With mental health medication becoming more widespread and common especially in our youth, she is sending the message “Try This First” to encourage parents to consider other methodologies, from gut microbiome testing to hypnotherapy. With 95% of your serotonin made in your intestines, the issue may simply be your gut health, not a mental disorder. The medication will always be available, but it comes with side effects and the label “disorder” which can be disabling in itself. Please, try these other protocols first.

Included in Jen’s history is real estate investing and a long stint in e-commerce and product development with Disney. She is a passionate philanthropist and has been a volunteer at the Pasadena Humane Society, Union Station Homeless Services, and an has funded water wells in developing nations. Jen has run the LA Marathon five times (yes five times!), and performed at fundraisers with her band. She is married to her husband, Michael, and together they are the proud parents of their daughter, Lexi, an epidemiologist. Other than Michael, Jen’s best friend might be their dog Coco, a 12-year-old poodle mix who is sitting by her side at this very moment.
