Kaycee Krysty


As chief executive officer of Laird Norton Tyee, Kaycee Krysty has a resume in financial planning that reaches back to 1977. She seeks to enrich lives by helping families grow and use their wealth to make a difference where it matters most.

She was recognized six times by Worth magazine on its list of the Best Financial Advisors in the United States. Locally, she was honored in 2006 as one of the Puget Sound Business Journals Women of Influence. Kaycee came to the firm following the merger of Laird Norton Trust Company with Tyee Asset Strategies, a wealth management company that she co-founded in 1995 after leaving the regional accounting firm Moss Adams. At Moss Adams, she was a partner and oversaw personal financial planning firm-wide.

As a CPA and Certified Financial Planner, Kaycee has long had a commitment to teaching and service. She is co-author of the book Stop Fighting About Money and Start Making It Work for You, a financial workbook for couples. In addition, Kaycee has developed a corporate training seminar titled How to Retire Rich. She is currently researching a book on the meaning of wealth in the second half of life.

Kaycee is active in the community as a board member for YWCA and the Washington Womens Foundation. She was a founding board member of Washington Women in Tax, and a past board member of Seattle/King County Humane Society where she is still active as a volunteer. She also is the former chair of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Division and a founding member of the WSCPA Personal Financial Planning Committee.

A native of Olympia, Washington, Kaycee earned a degree in humanities from Colorado College. Away from the office, she enjoys walking the beach with her husband Michael and their three poodles.
